Flights

Flights
International Flight bookings are normally carried out from the country of origin. However for UK clients we will be happy to arrange your flights. We do advise you to book at least 6 months prior to your holiday departure date, as fares can be cheaper. The fares in December and up to 5th January can be very expensive. The same rule applies to School and Bank Holidays.

We are well organised in India to issue your Internal airline tickets at extremely competitive rates. We would advise you to book airline tickets now for the end of year tours and New Year Extravaganza in Goa. The fares usually increase every month from 1st August.

Your tickets will be forwarded to you electronically within 2 days of booking, once full payment is met. All tickets purchased through us will be in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the respective Airlines. Any flight cancellations are not the responsibility of Wonder India Holidays. Please ensure your Travel Insurance covers such incidents.

Tips to save on Airline Tickets
During the time before internet searches, the only way you could save money on airline tickets was to buy them well in advance of air fare price wars; or obtain a discounted fare from agencies who were involved in bucket prices. Now, with online travel websites, you can easily compare prices and get great deals. However, there are still other ways in which you can make significant savings.
Here are 10 ways you could save on tickets.

  1. Check the major online agencies and compare prices. You will most likely get a very low fare especially if purchased online.
  2. Generally, you may not get a better deal during holidays, unless you purchase months in advance. During busy holiday periods, if you have a flexible schedule, for instance, you leave on Christmas Day / New Year's Day, fares will be cheaper.
  3. You can contact the airlines direct to determine if they have any particularly low rates, although our advice would be that it would be better to go to the airlines' websites and check the rates.
  4. Most people would prefer non-stop flights, but they are more expensive. Connecting flights tend to be cheaper; For example, flying direct from London to Mumbai (Bombay) will be more expensive than flying via Dubai.
  5. When checking online or with the airline, ask about non-refundable tickets. But be careful, if there is an emergency; you may be liable to pay a significant amount for a return flight.
  6. Travel during the week if possible. Airlines sometimes offer reduced fares for specific days of the week.
  7. If you have a travel agent, they can be most helpful in finding the cheapest fare for you. They have the tools with which to find competitive rates anywhere in the world.
  8. When booking a vacation, always consider the entire vacation package instead of separately booking different arrangements. Packages are well-discounted for the consumer, and it would be in your best interest to search for as many packages as possible. Additionally, look for packages that specialise in group airfare rates that attract cheap fares.
  9. Be flexible with your travel dates, a day or so earlier or later can make a lot of difference.
  10. Make sure you know beforehand if you can have free change of date on Inbound travel. It is likely that to change the date of Outbound travel will incur a penalty. Check with the Airline.
